William T. "Bill" Jacobs, 90, of Sandusky, fulfilled his desire to join God's Kingdom of Heaven, early Friday morning, June 12, 2026, while in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.

   He was born July 9, 1935, in Cleveland, OH to Fred and Mary Jacobs.  Bill graduated from Port Clinton High School where he was a tri sport athlete excelling in football, basketball, and baseball.   After graduation, Bill became a tool and die maker and worked at New Departure-Hyatt, Inc. for many years.  He married Bert Jacobs on July 6, 1957.  After leaving New Departure, Bill's favorite job was working at Ares Inc. in Port Clinton as a test manager of cutting-edge weapon systems.

   Bill and Bert always took at least one vacation a year with their 3 sons when they were younger.  Bill enjoyed multiple years managing his sons' little league team, the Angels, which is ironic because Angels are part of his new home.  After retirement, he and Bert moved to Florida for 15 years, where he enjoyed playing softball, before moving back to Sandusky, in 2012.  After Bert passed away in 2018, after over 60 years of marriage, Bill enjoyed spending time and playing cards with his Pinewood community neighbors and other friends.  Bill also enjoyed being visited by relatives and his son Bob always looked forward to spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with his dad.  Bill should be remembered as someone who always put the needs of others before his own.  He was a great husband, father, uncle, and brother. 

   Bill is survived by his sons, Bill (Tamara) Jacobs of Slidell, LA and grandson, Jake of Metairie, LA; his son, Bob Jacobs of Dublin, OH; a brother, Jim (Joanne) of Durham, NH; and their children who loved their Uncle Bill, Jay, Jennifer, Kira, and Jud.

   He was preceded in death by his wife, Bert (February 20, 2018); his son, Brad (December 5, 1988); and his parents Fred and Mary Jacobs.

   Per Bill's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or services held.  Private family service will be held at a later date.

   Bill was loved by all that knew him.
