Walter "David" Agsten, II, 53, of Huron, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 3, 2024, at MetroHealth Medical Center, in Cleveland, OH after a three year battle with cancer. Even though his battle with cancer took him away from us, he showed us how important it is to cherish every moment with family. You never know which day could be someones last.
Born on May 24, 1971, in Sandusky, OH the son of Walter David and Virginia "Ginny" Mary (Hodgkinson) Agsten. David spent most of his life in Huron where he attended Huron High School. He went on to have a career in manufacturing of plastics in the automotive industry, having worked for a variety of companies, most recently The Plastek Group, in Erie, PA.
David was hardworking, dedicated, and encouraging and, over the years, enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and NASCAR Races.
He is survived by two daughters, Kelly and Emily Agsten of Huron; his parents; his brother, Rob (Erika) Agsten of Oak Harbor; a cousin, Jennifer Bolyard of Sandusky; and his nieces, nephews and other cousins.
David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harlin and Loretta (Polter) Hodgkinson; has paternal grandparents, Gilbert "Curly" and Gladys (Beerman) Agstem; and other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
At his request cremation will take place. No funeral services to be held.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid, OH 44106 or to one's favorite charity.
Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
