Val J. Costantino, 80, of Huron, OH, passed away peacefully late Wednesday evening, October 6, 2021, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
Val was born May 20, 1941, in Sandusky, OH to Valentine and Anna (Esposito) Costantino. He was a Huron High School and Kent State University graduate. Val retired from General Motors in 2002 after 30 years of service.
Earlier in Val's life, he enjoyed traveling around the world and was an avid skier and member of the Sandusky Ski Club. In retirement, Val continued to travel and ski, and contributed to the community in various ways such as serving meals at the First Presbyterian Church community breakfasts. He was a long-time member of St. Stephen United Church of Christ and the Huron Eagles Club.
Val is survived by his stepsons, Scott Gregory of Girard, OH and Matthew (Julie) Gregory of Mount Holly, NC.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice B. (Ramsey) Costantino, in 2020; his parents; and sister, Anne.
Friends may attend the funeral service on Saturday morning, October 9, 2021, at 10 am at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Rev. Jerald A. Fenske officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Huron, OH.
