Thomas L. "Peaches" Wheatley, 64, of Sandusky, passed away early Thursday morning, August 20, 2020, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
Born on April 24, 1956, in Fremont, OH the son of Albert LeRoy and Alvira Rose (Cordrey) Wheatley. He was a veteran, having served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. For nearly 20 years, he worked at Evergreen Plastics, in Clyde, OH. He loved spending time with his "Best Friend," his great-nephew, William, Jr. and with other relatives and friends.
Tom is survived by his sister, Denise Jones-Clonch of Sandusky; and six nieces, April England, Tara Jones, Rebecca Fleming, Rochelle Jones, Julie Clay and Angela Zamora.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, June; a brother Gary; and other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020, from 4-6 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Due to the COVID-19 health concerns, wearing of masks (they will be offered) and social distancing will be mandatory. If you are uneasy about attending, please feel free to leave a message to the family on the website. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, August 25, 2020, at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Garden, in Clyde, OH.
