Teresa Maria (Capizzi) Corso

 Teresa M. (Capizzi) Corso, 90, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Wednesday afternoon, July 1, 2020, at the Parkvue Health Care Center, Sandusky.
   Born on February 14, 1930 in Sandusky, the daughter of Vincent and Angela (Patti) Capizzi.  She was a  1948  graduate of Sandusky High School.  Teresa had worked for over 20 years at J.C. Penney Co., before retiring.  In years past, she would volunteer in the cafeteria at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School and she loved going on long walks..
  She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society.
  Teresa is survived by her husband of 69 years, Salvatore J. "Tod" Corso, whom she married on September 4, 1950; her family, Maria N. (Raymond "Ray") Montbriand of Hazel Park, MI, Peter A. (Janis) Corso of Lakewood Ranch,, FL and Angela T. (Chuck) Spalla of Akron, NY; nine grandchildren, Andrea, Paul, Alex, Sarah, Joshua, Chad, Lisa, Kathy and Stephanie; 14 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Diana Hofer of Sandusky; nieces and nephews .
  She was preceded in death by her parents.
  Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, July 7, 2020, from 8:30 am  until time of the Mass at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Due to the COVID-19 health concerns, wearing of masks and social spacing will be recommended.  If you're uneasy about attending, please feel free to leave a message to the family on the website.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Chris Jesudhason officiating.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Sandusky.
  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to  the Parkvue Health Care Center, 3800 Boardwalk Blvd., Sandusky, OH 44870 or to the American Cancer Society, 43099 North Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
