Susan Ann Zetzer; beloved mother, wife, sister, artist - age 71, from Sandusky, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 30, 2021.
Susan was born in Cleveland, to Robert and Evelyn Szabrak and grew up with her sister, Kathy (Helman) in Sandusky. She attended Sts. Peter & Paul School, Perkins High School and later pursued a graphics art degree at Terra Technical Community College. She married the love of her life, Ed Zetzer, in 2005, enjoying 16 years of her life with him.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Zetzer of Sandusky; son and his wife, Scott and Nichole Marksbury of Denver; sister, Kathy Helman of Dayton; Matthew Zetzer (Ed's son) and his wife, Colleen of Dublin, OH; Meredith Zetzer of Columbus, OH (Ed's daughter); grandson, Kody Marksbury of Virginia; grandson, Kolten Marksbury of Denver; grandson, Dakota Johnson of Nevada; granddaughter, Abbey Zetzer, Grandson, Brian; and Uncle Larry Szabrak of Mansfield.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 6 - 8 PM at the David F Koch Funeral & Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Ave, Sandusky. Prayers will be recited Saturday morning, January 8, at 9:40 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave, Sandusky. Fr. Mark Herzog officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
There will be a luncheon at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Gathering Space following the burial. Please feel free to join us.
Susan loved to paint, dance and was an active horticulturalist. She especially loved flowers (every flower but red). To honor her; we ask that flowers be sent to the funeral home or donations in her memory to a charity of your choice.
