Susan Diane Oswald

Susan D. "Aunt Susie" Oswald, 75, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Wednesday evening, October 13, 2021, in the Providence Care Center, Sandusky.
   Born on August 3, 1946, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Edward Joseph and Cecilia Agnes (Naderer) Oswald, Jr..  Susan was a 1964 graduate of St. Mary's Catholic High School.   She had worked for the Perkins Township Police Department for over 30 years, before retiring on January 1, 2010. 
   She will be remembered by her family for how she loved all of her nieces and nephews who affectionately knew her as "Aunt Susie."  Over the years, she enjoyed quilting and had spent many hours working on pieces for all of her family members and her many friends for special occasions. Susan was always there for anyone in need.
   She was a member and an active volunteer of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church; she also volunteered at Care and Share; and for several years was an advisor for Junior Achievement; and was a member of the Huron Valley Quilt Guild.
   Susan is survived by her siblings, Paula J. (Thomas) York, Edward J. Oswald III, Candiss L. Kessler and Kevin R. Oswald; and her nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Keith A. Oswald (1982).
   It was her wish to be cremated.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for her on Tuesday morning, October 19, 2021, at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH.  Fr. Monte Hoyles officiating.  Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Calvary Cemetery Columbarium, Sandusky.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her name to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870; Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, 1200, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to the Victory Temple Soup Kitchen, 1613 Hayes Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
