It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of Shondrea (Drea) J. Crawford, 21 years old, of Norwalk, Ohio. Shondrea passed away unexpectedly, in her Nana's arms, while recovering from a very lengthy illness at their home, on Saturday, June 20, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Sarah June Grieger, who preceded her in death in 2009, and Yancy Crawford both of Sandusky, Ohio.  

Shondrea had a deep love for her Black Golden Doodle, Artemis and her Shih Tzu, Bo, who gave her emotional support throughout her illness and was with her as she passed away. Shondrea was a smart and lovely young lady. She embraced life to the fullest whenever she could. She loved the Florida beaches where she took surfing lessons and Tennessee where she took horseback riding. Shondrea also lived in Taiwan where she embraced their culture through the children's theatre, language and the art of ballet at the age of 7. She wrote many articles, stories and poems she had planned to publish. Shondrea brought immeasureable joy and kindness to all who knew her. 

She will be deeply missed by friends and family, especially, Susanna Grieger (Nana), Sofia Trendel, Lucas Helmick and Ascher Cobb (all were very best friends), Yancy Crawford (her loving father), Cortney Crawford (sister), Reanna Crawford (sister), Ka’Mani Ridgeway, Kommon Ridgeway, Toddrick Thornton (nephews) Katalaya Ridgeway, Katana Ridgeway, Ty’Anna Bugdon and Tolan Thornton (nieces) along with grandmothers, cousins, aunts and uncles. Shondrea had an exceptional bond and love for both her sisters and the seven nieces and nephews. . 

The family will plan multiple, private celebrations of life in Shondrea's honor. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Shondrea's gofundme (https://gofund.me/120cbb319) to help with her expenses or the Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome Research and Awareness Foundation in Shondrea’s memory.
