Scott Charles Himmelein

Scott C. "Scooter" Himmelein, 53, of Sandusky, passed away late Thursday evening, December 12, 2019, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
   Born on August 12, 1966, in Toledo, Ohio.  Scott was a 1985 graduate of St. Mary's Central Catholic High School.  Over the years, he had worked as a bartender at a variety of local bars.
   Scott is survived by his wife, Tracie L. (Prochnow) Himmelein; his two daughters, Carrigen T. and Carley T. Himmelein, all of Sandusky; a brother, Gary (his wife, Carol Letts) Himmelein of Bolivia, NC; and a sister, Wendy (Archie) Wilson of Toledo; and other relatives.
   He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert John and Marian Frances (Szplet) Himmelein; and his son, Chance T. "Hemi" Himmelein (July 17, 2016).
   It was Scott's wish to be cremated.  A "Celebration of Scott's Life" will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019, from 3-7 pm at Sail In, 631 Meigs Street, Sandusky.
   Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
