Sally Ann (Grimm) Kaczka

Sally A. Kaczka, 69, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Thursday evening, February 27, 2025, with her children at her side at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

   Born on October 27, 1955, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Robert  and Mildred (Herber) Grimm.  She was a graduate of Huron High School.  Sally was a homemaker for many years.  Over the years, she enjoyed art and drawing, but she was a wonderful sketcher.  Sally enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will be remembered by her family for how her cups of coffee and tea were her favorite parts of her day.  Sally was so kind and gave everyone her all.

   She is survived by her children, Philip, Mary and Christina Kaczka all of Sandusky; her mother, Mildred "Millie" Grimm of Sandusky; two sisters, Sue Dickman Greene and Sharon Williams Pahl both of Huron; two nieces, Beth Warrer and Tammy Arthur;  and a nephew, Robert Dickman;  her grandchildren, Qiana and Dalonda Kaczka, Jaylen Young, Getrudz and Maria Wheeler, Na' Jee Louis, Jr., Rylie and Vivien Kaczka; her great-grandchildren, Ja'zaiviaire Gibbs, Amarion, Marlon, Diziare, Cynciere, and Denarion Dickerson, Makaija Aaron, Iedan and Lydia Young, Ace'eion Wheeler, Amari Wraggs and Dashour Smith, Jr..   

   Sally was preceded in death by her father, Robert Grimm; her husband, Philip Michael Kaczka, Sr.; and two nieces, Debora and Linda Dickman.

   It was her wish to be cremated.  Private family services are to be held.  Interment will be held later at Perkins Cemetery, Sandusky.

   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Cancer Services of Erie County, 505 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870; Meals on Wheels, c/o Erie County Senior Center, 620 E. Water Street, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.

   Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
