Rosemary (Ruemmele) Walland

   Rosemary (Ruemmele) Walland, 91, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, April 8, 2021, at the Meadows at Osborn Park, in Huron, OH.
   Born on November 18, 1929, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of the Arthur William and Anna (Bauer) Ruemmele.  She was a 1947 graduate of St. Mary's High School.  Rosemary had worked at Providence Hospital, in the Patient Account Office, for 15 years, retiring in 1992.
   Rosemary was well loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She enjoyed her morning coffee with her friends, but she especially enjoyed going to her grandkids activities, The Ohio State Football games and playing cards in two pinochle clubs.  Rosemary, throughout the years, had been involved, as a volunteer, at the Firelands Regional Medical Center Gift Shops and at the State Theatre.
   She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she had been active on the bereavement committee, she had also belonged to the FORD Motor Co. Retirees and the Firelands Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
   Rosemary is survived by four sons, Tim (Susan) Walland of Westerville, Jeff (Gigi) Walland of Westerville, Dennis Walland of Charlotte, NC and Tom Walland of Sandusky; four daughters, Cindy Walland of Phoenix, AZ, Nancy Rivera of Melbourne, FL, Donna Walland of Sandusky and Sue (Jerry) Cotton of Sandusky; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her brother, Dean Ruemmele of Nevada; and nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, Robert J. Walland (March 2, 1998); and her sister, Carol Monarchi.
   Visitation will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021, from 4-6 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Due to the COVID-19 health concerns, the wearing of face masks (they will be offered) and social distancing will be mandatory.  If you are uneasy about attending, please feel free to leave a message to the family on our website.  Prayers will be recited Tuesday morning, April 13, 2021, at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Chris Jesudhason officiating.  Entombment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Sandusky.
