Ronald K. "Ron" Bork, 83 yrs. old, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Sunday afternoon, December 28, 2025 in the Stein Hospice Care Center. Sandusky.
Born on August 24, 1942, in Sandusky, OH the son of Kenneth Bland and Wilma Christinna Minnie (Bretz) Bork. Ron had been a proud laborer for the Laborer Union Local # 480 for over 50 years, retiring in 1999. Over the years, he had enjoyed boating, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He also loved camping, and had summered for over 20 years, with his companion, Doris, at the Huron Valley Campground.
Ron had been a member of the Laborer Union Local # 480 (Sandusky) for over 50 years, the Sons of the American Legion Post # 83, the Sandusky Eagles Aerie # 444 and the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post # 2529.
He is survived by two daughters and a son; and his grandchildren; a brother, Jerry (Mary Ann) Bork of Sandusky; and nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; and his companion of nearly 30 years, Doris L. Tyler (2019).
It was his wish to be cremated. No services to be held. Ron will be buried in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Cancer Services of Erie County, 505 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to one's favorite charity.
