Ronald Eshleman Obituary

Ronald Wayne Eshleman, 73, of Huron, formerly of Thornton, CO, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, April 18, 2020, at Admiral's Point Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Huron, after a lengthy illness.
Born on March 4, 1947, in Sandusky, OH, he was the fifth child of Wayne Luther and Dolores Irene (Burkin) Eshleman.  Ron was always adventurous as a young child and as an adult.  He was a 1965 graduate of Clyde High School and had been a member of the high school baseball team where he had led his team in hitting, which made his father, who loved baseball, very proud.
Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served honorably during the Vietnam War, from 1967 - 1969, as an airman, he was stationed in Germany and had been trained as a trouble shooter mechanic for F-104 jet planes, which dispatched him to many different locations to be a problem solver.
For 33 years, he had worked as a truck driver in the States of Washington, Arizona and Colorado.  He had driven for Fed Ex and had a perfect driving record with more than a million miles.  Ron loved Colorado so much that he ended up living in Thornton, CO for many years.  He will be remembered by his family for how he had an eye for "Good Stuff." He was a true collector at heart.
While living in Thornton, CO he had been a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Ron is survived by his two sisters, Ann (Paul) Spriggs of Huron and Elaine Noss of Placentia, CA; his two brothers, Richard "Rich" Eshleman of Clyde and Robert (Deborah) Eshleman of Fremont; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Rebecca "Becky" Davis; a sister-in-law, Betty (Dumminger) Eshleman; and his brother-in-law, Norm Noss.
It was his wish to be cremated.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at St. Mary Catholic Church 609 Vine Street, Clyde, OH.  Inurnment will be held in the Church Cemetery Columbarium.
His family would like to thank Admiral's Pointe and Stein Hospice for all of the excellent care Ron received; they were angels.  We suggest that memorials be made in his memory to St. Mary Catholic Church, 609 Vine Street, Clyde, Ohio 43410 or to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
