Robin Kristine (McCoy) Appell

 Robin Kristine "Binnie"  (McCoy) Appell, 68, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday afternoon, September 2, 2023, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, OH.

   Born on February 25, 1955, in Royal Oak, MI the daughter of William Norris and Marilyn Helen (Frey) McCoy.  She was a 1973 graduate of Edison High School.  Robin  loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.  Her family will remember her for how she loved her music and spending time at their place on Middle Bass Island, and how she especially enjoyed watching and telling others about the different changes and phases of the moon at night. She was a member of the Sandusky Orioles Club, Nest # 279.

   Robin is survived by her children, Emily (Anthony) Vassallo and Benjamin Appell, both of Sandusky, and Kevin (Mackenzie) Appell of Lorain; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Savanna, Braden, Aislin, Lola and Owen and one on the way; her siblings, Kevin McCoy, Nancy (Anthony) Dellisanti, Laurie (Russ) Logan, Molly (Tom) Jesberger, Danny (Mary) McCoy, and Tim (Sarah) McCoy; her brother and sister-in-laws, Billy (Susan) Appell and Albert Appell; and several nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 43 years, David B. Appell (February 15, 2023), her grandson, Weston J. Vassallo; a niece, Molly "Pee Wee" Flowers; and a brother-in-law, Anthony "Tony"  Dellisanti.

   It was her wish to be cremated.  The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 4-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.

   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her name to her family.
