Robert William Curtis

 Robert W. Curtis, 88, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 18, 2020, at the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after an extended illness.
   Born on September 5, 1932, in Sandusky, OH the son of Lester Eugene and Louise Mary (Dusold) Curtis.  Bob was a graduate of Sandusky High School and later received his degree from Miami University, Oxford, OH.   He was a veteran, having served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.   Bob had retired from the Ohio Veterans Home where he had worked for many years.
   He'll be remembered by his family how he always looked forward to the weekly "Friday" meetings, at one of the clubs, with his brother, Don and his nephew, Brian, to discuss local and "World" matters.
   Bob was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church; the American Legion Post # 83, the V.F.W. Post # 2529, A.M.V.E.T.S. Post # 17 and the Sandusky Order of Eagles Aerie # 444. 
   He is survived by his nephew and niece, Brian (Barb) Curtis; great-niece, Alivia (Devon) and Lena MacDonald; great-nephew, Carson Curtis all of Sandusky; nephew, Gary Curtis of Sandusky; and niece, Leslie (Don) Marx of Miami, FL; great-nieces, Lauren Steiman and Hannah Roehl; and his siblings, Mary Leschorn of Jacksonville, FL, Jim (Rita) Curtis of Arcadia, CA and William Curtis of Leesburg, FL.
   In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald (Elizabeth) Curtis; and his sister, Ann Huth.
   It was his wish to be cremated.   Private family funeral services will take place.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Sandusky.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
