Paul F. Brown, 91, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Sandusky, passed away on October 28, 2019, at Lakeland Regional Health, in Lakeland, Florida.
Born on August 27, 1928, on Kelleys Island, the son of Lee and Helen (Hauser) Brown. He was a graduate of Kelleys Island High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Paul had worked at New Departure-Hyatt Inc. (Division of General Motors) for 38 years, before retiring. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Sandusky and a member of Resurrection Catholic Church while in Lakeland, FL. Active on Sts. Peter & Paul Church Council and a Boy Scout leader. He volunteered with carvers at the Merry-Go -Round Museum. Paul loved boating on Lake Erie especially sailing with his best friend and brother, ‘Bill’.
Paul is survived by his wife, Lois A. (Dahlke) Brown; and his son, Lee A. Brown of Orlando, FL.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, Kevin in infancy and Ron Brown; brothers, Frank and Lee ‘Bill’ Brown.
It was Paul's wish to be cremated. The family will receive friends on Friday morning November 8, 2019 from 9 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Jeff Walker officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 83 Color Guard.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to One’s Favorite Charity.
