Norman P. "Norm" Oeder, 90, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, November 23, 2020, at his home after a lengthy illness.
Born on July 22, 1930, in Sandusky, OH the son of Robert and Magdalene (Bluhne) Oeder.  Norm was a 1949 graduate of Sandusky High School.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served honorably during the Korean War from 1951 - 1953.  Norm had worked for the Lorain Ford Motor Company for 50 years, before retiring.
In his younger days, Norm had played Semi-Pro Football for the Sandusky Maroons as a splint end.  He also, over the years, enjoyed fishing but he especially loved to get out and about and socialize with others when he could.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the American Legion Post # 83 and the U.A.W. Local # 425..
Norm is survived by two sons, Ray R. (Patty) Oeder and Keith N. Oeder, both of Sandusky; four granddaughters, Stephanie, Jessica, Kristen and Kyla; two great-grandsons, Logan and Aiden; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Floetta "Flo" (Schultz) Oeder on January 29, 2011; and his sisters and brothers.
It was Norm's wish to be cremated.  A "Celebration of Life" service will be held for him at a later date.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
