Nancy Ann (Ludwig) Zahniser

   Nancy A. (Ludwig) Zahniser, 89, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, August 18, 2020, at her home.
   She was born in Sandusky, OH on April 9, 1931, to the late Dudley Ludwig and Delores (Abele) Ludwig Traver.  She married Ray Zahniser on February 28, 1953 at the Norfolk Virginia Naval Air Station.
   Nancy worked for Ohio Bell prior to her marriage.  She enjoyed the summers at Briarcrest Swim Club.  Nancy was the ultimate homemaker and loved baking and sewing.  Her desserts, especially her pies, were the best around.  She showed her affection for loved ones best by baking her specialties for them.  She will live in our hearts forever. 
   Nancy was a longtime member of the Sandusky Yacht Club and more recently the Sandusky AMVETS.  
   She is survived by her husband, Ray; five children, Lynn, Rae Sue (Ken), Mike, Zee (Barb) and David; five grandchildren, Rachel (Jack) Flynn, Starr Stockton, Pari, Carly and Luke; and five great-grandchildren.
   Nancy was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Helen Zahniser.
   Friends may call on Saturday afternoon, August 22, 2020, from 4-6 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Private family entombment services will be held at the Garden Mausoleum at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.  Due to COVID-19 health concerns, wearing of masks (they will be offered) and social spacing will be mandatory.
