Myrna Kay (Bickley) Abel

 Myrna K. (Bickley) Abel, 89, of Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday afternoon, July 13, 2022, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
   Born on August 30, 1932, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Clyde Willard and Josephine Caroline (Wick) Bickley.  She was a graduate of Huron High School.  For nearly 30 years she had worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company before retiring.  In years past, she and her sister had bowled in the local bowling leagues for several years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.     
   Myrna is survived by five grandchildren; Ron's son, Alex Harrington, Rick's children, Sonya, Emily, Derrick, and Anthony; great-grandchildren; her sister, Shirley M. Shupe of Huron; a brother, Edward A. Bickley of Huron; her two nieces, Christine Swint of Sandusky and Monica (David) Hewitt of Huron; two nephews, Shaun (Jane) Bickley of Huron and Troy Bickley of Ft. Wayne, IN; and her special neighbors, Theresa and Shane Jordan.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; her companion, Terry L . Abel; two sons, Ronald and Rick Harrington; and her brother, Joel Bickley.
   It was her wish to be cremated.  The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon, July 23, 2022, from 2-4 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  A private service to be held.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Sandusky Fire Department Rescue Squad, 600 W. Market Street, Sandusky, OH 44870.
