Mitzi Kosel Obituary

 Mitzi Ann (Moos) Kosel, 91, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Sunday morning, March 10, 2024, at Portland Place, in Sandusky, OH.

   Born on April 18, 1932, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of William and Mary Ann (Ommert) Moos.  She was a 1950 graduate of Sandusky High School.  Mitzi was a proud homemaker and will be remembered by her family for being an excellent cook and for the beautiful work she had done over the years in cross stitching, needlepoint and knitting, especially her lace work. 

   She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and had volunteered and managed, in years past,  the Senior Citizens Bazaar located on the trail at the Cedar Point Amusement Park for several years.

   Mitzi is survived by her husband of  70 years, Dale J. Kosel whom she married on June 3, 1953; her daughter, Linda M. (Douglas) Miller; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Cajon) Keeton; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Evelynn and Spencer.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Kurt W. Kosel (2019).

   At her request all services will be private.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.

   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Serving Our Seniors, 310 E. Boalt Street, Sandusky, OH 44870.

   Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
