Michael Alan Geary

Michael Alan "Mike" Geary, 74, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Friday afternoon, October 20, 2023, at his home.

   Born on June 19, 1949, in Sandusky, OH the son of Lawrence Edward and Kathleen (Ridge) Geary.  He was a 1967 graduate of Sandusky High School.  Mike was a veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and had received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.  He had worked at the Ford Motor Company for 30 years before retiring.

   Mike was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 546, the A.M.V.E.T.S. Post # 17 and the V.F.W. Post # 2529.

   He is survived by his brother, Lawrence (Ann) Geary; and several nieces, nephews, as well as, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

   Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patti Sue (Kardotzke) Geary on August 13, 2017; his sister, Sarah; and two brothers, John "Jack" and Paul Geary.

   It was his wish to be cremated and for no funeral services to be held.

   His cremains, with his wife, were interred at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.

   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, OH 44870.
