Michael P. "Mike" Esposito, 93, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, December 22, 2020, surrounded by his family at his home after a lengthy illness.
Born on November 18, 1927, in Sandusky, OH the son of Dominic and Severia (Palmison) Esposito. He was a veteran, having served honorably in the U.S. Army. Mike had worked at the Sandusky Ford Motor Company for nearly 30 years, before retiring. In years past, he had enjoyed going out fishing, hunting, golfing and tending to his garden. He loved spending time with his family and the grandchildren, especially during the Holiday season.
Mike was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Mary E. (Wright) Esposito, whom he married on August 3, 1946; his family, Dominic (Cindy) Esposito, Kathy (Jim) Sumser, Severia (Joe) Cassel, Heidi (Lewis) Peters and Amy Esposito, all of Sandusky; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Esposito of Sandusky; and his nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Esposito; a granddaughter, Tiffany Wirsche; two brothers, Nick and Joe Esposito; and a sister in infancy, Concetta Esposito.
Private family funeral services are to be held. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, in Huron, OH.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
