Mary Ann (Weber) Fitz

Mary Ann (Weber) Fitz, 89, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Monday afternoon, December 29, 2025 at Admiral's Pointe Nursing Home, in Huron, OH.

   Born on December 6, 1936, in Lansing, Michigan the daughter of Joseph Sylvester and Loyola Ruth (Oberst) Weber.  She was a 1954 graduate of St. Mary's High School.  Mary Ann had worked for the Erie County Commons Plea Court, for Judge McCrystal, for over 20 years, before retiring.

   In years past, she enjoyed going to the Upper Peninsula, in Michigan, to attend the State Fair and she had also volunteered delivering meals for "Meals On Wheels," for those in need. She was active thru the years with the Bonis club as well as reading the bible to those elderly and young home bound individuals. And for years she had a real passion and love for quilting.

   She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Sandusky Bonsai Club, and A.R.C. of Erie County.

   Mary Ann is survived by two sons, Robert F. Fitz of Casa Grande, AZ and David J. (Stella) Fitz of St. Augustine, FL; a sister, Jean Louise Conroy of Grosse Pointe Farms. MI; and a brother, Joseph (Joanne) Weber of Marana, AZ; and her nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 60 years, Robert J. "Bob" Fitz on March 14, 2019.

   Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, January 6, 2026, from 8:30 am until 9:40 am at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Prashanth Kumar officiating.  Burial will be Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky, following mass.
