Mary Ann (Collins) Zeigler

Mary Ann (Collins) Zeigler, 63, of Sandusky, passed away late Wednesday morning, October 21, 2020, with family at her side in the care of the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness. 
   Born on March 3, 1957, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Edward James and Jennie (Gingo) Collins.  She was a graduate of EHOVE , where she won State Titles and Awards for typing.   Mary Ann had worked for a few years as a secretary for the Erie County Courts.   
   Mary Ann lived her life doing for others. Her family was her priority and she spent countless hours providing them with lots of fun activities and wonderful memories by crafting and shopping for the perfect gift.   Mary Ann was an avid reader and enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking and tending to her cats and dogs.  She attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church where she accepted Jesus into her heart as her personal Lord and Savior.
   Mary Ann is survived by a daughter, Jenny (Matthew) Haflett of Fairborn, OH; her son, Kevin  Zeigler of Sandusky; three grandchildren, Nathan and Alyssa Zeigler and Eliana Haflett; her father, Edward James Collins of Sandusky; a sister, Cathy Riccelli of Sandusky; her three brothers, David (Vicki) Collins of Sandusky, Ron (Joanne) Collins of Avon and Jim (Linda) Collins of Loveland, OH; and several nieces and nephews. 
   She was preceded in death by her mother, Jennie (Gingo) Collins; and her husband of 39 years, whom she married in 1977,  Edward A. Zeigler on April 10, 2017.
   It was her wish to be cremated.  Private family services to be held .
   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to one's favorite charity.
