Mary Louise "Mary Lou" (Moosbrugger) Stradtman, 85, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Sunday morning, February 9, 2025, at the Main Street Care Center, in Avon Lake, OH.
Born on December 1, 1939, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Arthur and Lucille (Holtz) Moosbrugger. Mary Lou was a 1957 graduate of St. Mary's High School and later went on to receive her Bachelor Degree from Mary Manse College and her Master's Degree from Bowling Green State University. For many years she had worked at the BGSU Firelands Campus as a reading instructor before retiring. Over the years, Mary Lou had enjoyed spending time with the family and the grandchildren, traveling and dining out.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Phi Delta Kappa Sorority (and past officer).
Mary Lou is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert W. Stradtman, Jr. whom she married on July 7, 1973; a son, Daniel (Kristie) Stradtman of Chagrin Falls; her daughter, Beth (Brian) Dee of Vermilion; four grandchildren, Ethan, Brendan, Maria and Gabriella; and her brother, Charlie (Brenda) Moosbrugger of Chesterland; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 4 - 7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Prayers will be recited Friday morning at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Prashanth Kumar officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
