Mary Belle (Riley) Newman

 Mary Belle (Riley) Newman, 93, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, June 17, 2023, at the Parkvue Health Care Center,, Sandusky.

   Born on June 5, 1930, in Portsmouth, OH the daughter of Jack and Edna (Birchfield) Riley.   In years past, she was a bartender, but she especially was the care giver for Ruth Wenske for many years, before retiring.  Mary will be remembered by her family how she loved to cook and enjoyed being active and working throughout the years.  She had attended Faith Memorial Church.

   She is survived by a son, Jack L. Newman of Sandusky; 7 grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.

   Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo J. Newman (1997); a daughter, Edna "Connie" Crane (1992); two brothers and three sisters.

   It was her wish to be cremated.  No services to be held.

   Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
