Marilyn B. Pfefferle, 81, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, January 10, 2021, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
Born on December 24, 1939, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Anthony George "Tony" and Bernetta Leona (Koelsch) Pfefferle. Marilyn was a 1957 graduate of St. Mary's High School and later graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Toledo, OH. She was a RN and had been a surgical nurse at Firelands Hospital for 35 years, before retiring in 2004. Over the years, Marilyn enjoyed reading and visiting with her nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Marilyn is survived by two brothers, John A. (Carol) Pfefferle of Huron and Bernard P. (Cheryl) Pfefferle of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Pfefferle in infancy and Joanne M. Chromey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021, from 4-6 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Due to the COVID-19 health concerns, the wearing of face masks (they will be offered) and social distancing will be mandatory. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Marilyn on Saturday morning, January 16, 2021, at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Zachary Brown officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
