Margaret Mary (Hill) Stout

 Margaret M. Stout, 96, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Monday evening, December 10, 2018, with her son, Edward, at her side at The Providence Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
  She was born on February 10, 1922, in Shelby, OH the daughter of Porter Graham and Ursula (Spangler) Hill.  Margaret was a 1940 graduate of St. Mary's High School  and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
  In years past, she had worked at the Ohio Bell Telephone Company for nearly 40 years, as an assistant chief operator, later becoming a service consultant for all of the NW Ohio area, before retiring.  Throughout the years, Margaret enjoyed traveling, reading. listening to music, tending to her flowers and gardening. She loved the theatre and attending live performances, either being musicals or theatrical.  Margaret will be remembered for being truly sociable, she especially loved meeting and talking to all of those that she would come in contact with.
   She is survived by three sons, Edward Stout of Sandusky, Gregory Stout of Pembroke Pines, FL and Morgan (Joanne Overson) Stout of Sandusky; a granddaughter, Brittany Stout of Indianapolis, IN; two half-sisters, Urusla Scott and Shiela Duffet, both of Castalia;and a multiple of nieces and nephews.
   Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Eleanor Smith, Juanita "Jeanne" Van Cauwenbergh and Barbara Gilbert; two brothers, Thomas and Charles Hill; and the father of her children, Donald Stout,
   At Margaret's request, the family will receive friends on Saturday morning, December 15, 2018, from 9 am until time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Jeffery Walker officiating.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
  The family would like to express their thanks for all of those who contributed to her care.
