LuAnne Kim (Stine) Koch

LuAnne K. (Stine) Koch, 70, of Sandusky, passed away early Monday morning, January 1, 2024, at Admirals Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Huron, OH due to complications from a massive stroke which she suffered on August 6, 2023.  LuAnne had also fought a courageous 20 year battle with breast cancer.

   She was born on June 7, 1953, in Fremont, OH and was a graduate of Huron High School.  LuAnne was the office manager at Wilkes and Company for over 25 years, before retiring in 2019.

   Over the years, she enjoyed reading, going shopping, watching her soap operas and cooking shows, but she especially loved spending  time with her family, the grandchildren and her dog.

   LuAnne is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert C. "Bob" Koch, Jr.; her two daughters, Shannon (Jamie) Kramer of Milan and Stefanie (Nick) Diederich  of Huron; her grandchildren, Carter, Grayson, Grace and Joey; her mother, Donna Thompson; and her sister, Charlene Stine.

   She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Merle Thompson; and her maternal grandmother, Ruth Klinck.

   Private funeral services are to be held at David F. Koch Funeral & Cremation Services.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.

   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870;  Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, OH 44870, or to Huron County Humane Society, 426 Woodlawn Ave, Norwalk, Ohio 44857.
