Loretta L. "Lynn" Whitley, 63, of Willard, OH passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, September 19, 2021, surrounded by her family at Firelands Regional Medical Center main Campus, Sandusky, after a brief illness. She is so happy to be joining her mother and her sister in the life here after.
Lynn was born on December 11, 1957, in Roanoke, Virginia the daughter of Jake Andrew and Loretta Lee (Lynch) Whitley. Over the years, she had been a caregiver with Hospice, but she was mostly proud of being involved in pyrotechnics. Her family and grand babies were her life. Lynn also was active in craft groups and prayer chains. Her family will remember he how she loved to go shopping and gambling with her sister at the casinos.
She was a member of the Cardington Eagles Lodge.
Lynn is survived by her two daughters, Crystal (G.J.) Barnett of Willard and Patricia "Patty" (Bill) Farmer, Jr. of Marion; her four grandchildren, Daimien, Heaven, Russell, LeAnna and several extended grandchildren; and a great grandson, Taven, coming soon; an adopted daughter, Laura Saylor of Galion, OH; also her father, Beryl "Russ" Russell of Marengo, OH; a sister, Jean (Jimmy) Seymour of Marengo, OH; a brother, Andy (Cindy) Russell of Columbus, OH; special nephews, Cody, Dalton, Cris and Steven; a special niece, Valerie; and other special and countless children and grandchildren that she adored.
She was preceded in death by her mother; a daughter, Elizabeth "Beth"; two grandsons, Matthew and Anthony; and a sister, Kim.
It was her wish to be cremated. A "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date by Lynn's family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
