Lorene Mary (Brunner) Andres

 Lorene Mary (Brunner) Andres, 98, of Huron, formerly of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Tuesday afternoon, December 28, 2021, with family at her side at her home after a brief illness.
   Born on June 29, 1923, in Venice, OH the daughter of Gabriel ad Ella (Reno) Brunner.  Lorene was a 1941 graduate of Margaretta High School.  In years past, Lorene had worked in the office at Hohler Furnace and Sheet Metal for nearly 10 years, then for several years, she worked at Lehrman Insurance and later for the Ohio Department of Human Services, before retiring in 1988.   
   She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was involved at the Erie County Senior Center where she loved to play Bingo.
   Lorene is survived by her daughter, Judith "Judi" Andres and her son-in-law, Larry Bruns of Huron; her son, David R. (Karen) Andres of Howell, MI; three grandchildren, Terra Woody of Sandusky, Jason (Gina) Woody of Norwalk and Allison (Tommy) Ackels of Lansing, MI; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Woody, Maddie Ackels and Aaliyah Woody; and  her nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years, Richard C. "Dick" Andres (1991); two sisters, Virginia A. Strasser and June C. Schell; and her special friend and longtime companion, Billy Wolf.
   The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning, January 4, 2022, from 9 am until time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Monte Hoyles officiating.  A private family burial service will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky, following the Mass.
   In lieu of flowers,  the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Sandusky Central Catholic School Education Foundation, 410 W. Jefferson Street, Sandusky, OH 44870
