Lola G. Hogue, 97, of Huron, peacefully went Home to be with the Lord early Saturday afternoon, May 8, 2021, surrounded by her family at her home.
Born on January 10, 1924, in Monterey, TN the daughter of Herbert Spencer and Martha Edus (Matthews) Pettit. Lola loved to be around her family and the grandchildren. She will be remembered by her family how she enjoyed playing cards, bingo and cooking her homemade soups, but she was especially famous for her peanut butter fudge.
For many years she had attended the NorthPointe Baptist Church.
Lola is survived by her family; Johnny Peterman, Vickie Mays, Delores (Chris) Andrews, Iva (Bill) Ferdinandsen, and Teresa (Giovanni) Spadaro; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters; Gayle Boso and Jeannita Fleeman; three sisters, Merle Jones, Maxine Dye and Dora Walker; her brother, Dewey Pettit; and several grandchildren.
Private family funeral services to be held. Rev. Wally Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the SouthernCare - Milan Hospice, 9501 US Hwy 250N, Suite 2, Milan, OH 44846.
