Lois E. (Martin) Gordon, 99, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, August 13, 2023, at her home.
She was the daughter of Giebert F. "Gilled" and Agnes A. (Landwehr) Martin of Luckey, OH. Lois was a graduate of Pemberville High School.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the A.M.V.E.T.S. Post # 17, Sandusky. Over the years, Lois enjoyed the A.M.V.E.T.S., the Senior Center, all sports, dancing, boating, fishing, the islands, and of course the Casinos !
In years past, she had worked at the Erie Proving Grounds, Port Clinton, OH, during W.W. II as an inspector, and later at J.C. Penney.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Kay (Larry) Hand of Norman Park, GA; a son, Jeff W. (Maria Krause) Gordon of Sandusky; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and she loved her pet dog, "Mickey D."; and her many family and friends, especially her best friend, Mary Jane Riedy.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, William L. Gordon (1996); and a son, Jack Gordon (2004).
At her request, private family graveside services are to be held. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her name to one's favorite charity.
Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
