Lena Mary (Francesconi) Clary

 Lena M. (Francesconi) Clary, 91, of Castalia, OH passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, December 29, 2020, at Admiral's Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Huron, after a  lengthy illness.
   Born on September 7, 1929, on Kelleys Island, OH, the daughter of Nazzareno "Charlie" and Mary (Maggioti) Francesconi.   In 2016, Lena had received her honorary degree from Kelleys Island High School.   Prior to being married, she had worked at the Philco Co. for a few years.   She will be remembered by her family for how she always loved to cook and  spend time with the family and the grandchildren, especially during the Holidays.
   Lena was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and the bereavement committee, the Daughters of Isabella and the I.A. B.. 
   She is survived by her two daughters, Joyce (Phil) Edwards of Marblehead and Chris (Andrew) Smith of Berlin Heights; a son, David (Elizabeth "Liz") Clary of Strongsville; her seven grandchildren, Bryan (Angie), Jill, Patrick, Katharine "Katie" (Terry) Sellers, Sarah, Benjamin and Emily (Patrick) Gioffre; her eight great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Christina, Megan, Dominic, Ethan, Faith, Tegan and Scarlett;  her two sisters, Ida Driscoll of Bay View and Mary Louise (George "Babe") Rice of Port Clinton; and her nieces and nephews.
   Lena was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Mark E. "Buzz" Clary on April 18, 2006; a son, James "Jim" Clary in 1985; and two brothers-in-law, Edward Driscoll and Richard Clary.
   At the request of the family, all of the funeral services will be private.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky. 
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to Cancer Services of Erie County, 505 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
   Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
