Kevin J. Fultz, 54, of Castalia, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes, late Saturday morning, September 5, 2020, at his home.
Born on November 19, 1965, in Sandusky, OH the son of William Arthur and Mary Lucille (Kochensparger) Fultz, Sr.. He was a 1986 graduate of Margaretta High School. Kevin was a veteran, having served honorably in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier "U.S.S. Coral Sea."
He had worked at Armstrong Air Conditioning (later known as Allied Air Enterprises) in Bellevue before its closing and has since been working at Ventra Sandusky for over 15 years.
Kevin enjoyed his grandchildren and the family, but he will be truly remembered by his family how he loved to collect anything that had to do with the military. His home was a museum of his gigantic collection of military artifacts that he had gathered over the years.
He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, the U.A.W. Veteran Local #1216, the Ohio Motor Pool and the Firelands Military Vehicle Group.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christina M. "Tina" (Caponi) Fultz; his three daughters, Kaylen M. (Derek) Hymore of Vermilion, Alysa M. and Krystina N. Fultz of Sandusky; three granddaughters, Lillian G. Caldwell, Gwendelyn R. Hymore and Avielle H. Hartle and a grandson on the way; four brothers, William A. Fultz, Jr. of Castalia, Daniel C. (Dian) Fultz, Sr. of Berlin Heights, Richard A. Fultz of Vickery and David G. (Rhonda) Fultz, Sr. of Castalia; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020, from 4-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Due to the COVID-19 health concerns, wearing of face masks (they will be offered) and social distancing will be mandatory. Prayers will be recited Friday morning, September 11, 2020, at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Chris Jesudhason officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Firelands Military Vehicle Group Scholarship Fund, 1319 Pearl Street, Sandusky, OH 44870.
