Keith N. "O" Oeder, 64, of Sandusky, passed away December 23, 2020 in the ICU at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, after battling Covid-19.
Born on October 1, 1956, in Sandusky, OH the son of Norman “Norm” and Floetta “Flo” (Schultz) Oeder. Keith was a 1976 graduate of Perkins High School where he was a valuable member of the football and baseball teams. Keith attended Bowling Green State University for a brief time before working for the family business, “The Knotty Pine” bar, where his many patrons remember his infectious laugh and smile.
A member of the Sandusky Yacht Club and known by many as “The Tan Man”, Keith enjoyed spending time socializing with friends at the pool and beach.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sandusky.
Keith is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Oeder, Holiday, FL and Jessica (Thomas) Castanheira, Orlando, FL; his brother Ray R. (Patty) Oeder; two grandsons, Logan and Aydan; and several nieces, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Norman “Norm” Oeder on November 23, 2020 and Floetta "Flo" (Schultz) Oeder on January 29, 2011 and grandmother Alene “grams” (Schultz) Coolidge in May 2006. A special thank you to Amy Sausser for watching over him during his time of need and always being a loving friend.
It was Keith's wish to be cremated. A "Celebration of Life" for Keith will be held on Friday afternoon, October 1, 2021, his birthday, from 1-4 pm at the Sandusky Yacht Club Pavilion, 529 E. Water Street, Sandusky.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
