Kay Dickens, 91, passed away peacefully on Nov 30, 2025 at Parkvue Place. She was born on June 2, 1934 to Bob and Elizabeth Saal in Cleveland, Ohio. Kay was a homemaker when her children were young. She then worked during tax season at H & R Block for many years thereafter. Later, she was also employed at the Sawmill 1887 Shops in Huron. The highlight of every year for Kay was to attend her family reunion on Labor Day weekend where some 200+ members of her family would gather for 3 days. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, James M. Dickens; sons, Robert (Carol) Dickens of Sandusky, Michael Dickens of Elmore, Ohio, Mark (Cheri) Dickens of Florida; daughter, Diane Dickens of Parma, Ohio; brothers, Tom (Judy) Saal of North Ridgeville, John Saal of Westlake; sister-in-law, Linda Saal of North Ridgeville; 4 grandchildren, Christopher, David, Keith, and Brian; 4 great-grandchildren, Ben, Kendall, Olivia, and Leila; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Jo Weiss and Margaret Saal; brothers, Bob and Bill Saal; sister-in-law, Sue Saal; and brother-in-law, David Weiss. Her family would like to thank Parkvue Place for their wonderful care. Arrangements entrusted to David F Koch Funeral & Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Ave, Sandusky.
