Katherine Sue (Short) Weedman

 Katherine S. "Kathy" (Short) Weedman, 50, of Sandusky, passed away early Friday evening, May 13, 2022, at her daughter's home after a brief illness.
   Born on December 20, 1971, in McDowell, Kentucky the daughter of Frank Henry and Deborah (Dye) Short, Sr..  For several years she worked as a L.P.N. in the local area.   Over the years, Kathy enjoyed camping, playing Bingo and gambling at the local casinos, but she especially loved being a grandma to her grandchildren.  
   Kathy is survived by her family, Dale Caudill, Ashley (Brian) Wobser, Tyler (Tanner) Caudill, Kyle Weedman and Katelyn Wicker, all of Sandusky; her 13 grandchildren, Dylan, Lillian, Nova, Hunter, Cole, Alieghna, Gracie, Kacee, Tyler, Nolan, Macee, Phoenix and Karter; her three brothers, Jack and Frank Short, Jr, of Sandusky and Sam Short of Portsmouth, OH;  and many nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Eric W. Weedman on April 22, 2022.
   It was her wish to be cremated.  A funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday morning, May 21, 2022, at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Deacon Bill Burch officiating.
   The family suggests memorial contributions be made in her memory to the SouthernCare Hospice, 41 Briggs Drive, Ontario, OH 44906-3805.
