Judith Mildred (Keller) Bakewell

Judith M. "Judy" Bakewell, 81, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, January 3, 2023, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
   She was born on April 27, 1941, in Sandusky, Ohio.  Judy was a 1959 graduate of Sandusky High School.  For many years she has been a legal secretary, first for attorney John Savord, until his passing,  and then for attorney Dean Lucal, whom she was still working for today.  Over the years, Judy loved watching all of the Cleveland sports teams and NASCAR racing.  She had been a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
   Judy is survived by a sister, Jacque Wechter; three half-sisters, Nancy David, Collette Honaker and Amy Keller; five step-brothers and sisters, Paul (Gloria) Hartman, Jr., Michael (Cindy) Hartman, Linda (Doug) Sheffer, Gloria (Richard, Jr.) Andres, and David (Danielle) Hartman; a nephew, John Spoa, Jr.; and many other nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred A. (Gundlach) Hartman; her step-father, Paul Hartman, Sr.: a sister, Jerilyn Alderman; a nephew, Mark Keller; and her aunt, Marian Hoffman.
   She wished for no visitation.  A graveside service will be held for Judy on Friday afternoon, January 6, 2023, at 1:30 pm at Oakland Cemetery, 2917 Milan Road, Sandusky, OH.  Rev. Wally Gilbert officiating.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Sandusky Public Library, 114 W. Adams Street, Sandusky, OH 44870.
