Joyce ‘Joy Lee’ Latreve (Ross) Eversole

Joyce Latreve "Joy Lee" (Ross) Eversole, 87, of Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 12, 2020,at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
   Born on March 20, 1932, in Fremont, OH the daughter of George Donald and Phronia Elizabeth (Campbell) Ross.  She was a 1950 graduate of Sandusky High School.  
   Joyce had worked for Philco, Peerless Stove, Union Chain and later retired from New Departure-Hyatt (Division of General Motors) in 1999.
   She loved nature and  all animals.  Joyce couldn't even kill a bug or spider.  She would have to catch it and release it outside.  Joyce loved gardening, game shows and feeding birds.  She especially  loved her cats and her faithful dog "Rambo."
   Joyce was a member of The Chapel and the Silver Sneakers and really enjoyed exercising with her beloved friends that she made there.
   She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three sons, Alan (Karen), Larry (Patty) and Jerry (L.A.) Eversole; three daughters, Brenda (John) McNulty, Cindy (Doug) Seymour and Linda Windau; 19 grandchildren, Nikki Orama, Tashina (Patrick) Prentice, Brian Eversole, Shannon (Cory) Loomis, Rachel and Mitch (Shelby) McNulty, Zach, Brock and Adam Eversole, Tanner Martin, Gina, Clare and Erica Eversole, Fawn (Matt) Frankart, Ben (Stephanie) Boos, Carlee (Geoff) Saunier, Lindsey Hodgkinson, Ian (Alli) Windau and Austin Windau; 19 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; a sister, Joann Gruver; a brother, Donald Ross; and several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jim Spencer.
   Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Alex Eversole; a sister, Vernie Russel; and two brothers, Jack and Jim Ross.
   Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020, from 4-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, February 18, 2020, at 11 am at the funeral home.  Rev. Eric M. Lapata officiating.  Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery, Castalia, OH.
