Josephine Joan (Lazzara) Muscioni

Josephine J. "Joan" (Lazzara) Muscioni, 86, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, May 10, 2021, with family at her side at the Providence Care Center, Sandusky.    
   Born on February 14, 1935, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Salvatore "Tootie" and Frances Mary (Maschari) Lazzara.  She was a 1953 graduate of Sandusky High School.  Joan ,and her husband Frank, had owned and operated "The Pump" for over 40 years, until they retired.  She will be remembered, by her family how she was devoted to her grandchildren and the praying of the rosary.
   Joan was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Italian-American Beneficial Club ladies Auxiliary.
   She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Frank V. Muscioni; her son, Frank J. Muscioni; and her grandchildren, Raquel L. Muscioni, Jason M. McCormick, Joseph V. McCormick and Jude D. F. McCormick.
   Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Charlene Crawford; and her brother, Joseph Lazzara.
   Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021, from 4-6 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Due to the COVID-19 health concerns, the wearing of face masks (they will be offered) and social distancing will be mandatory.  If you are uneasy about attending, please feel free to leave a message to the family on our website.  Funeral services will be held Friday morning, May 14, 2021, at 10 am at the funeral home.  Entombment will be held in Meadow Green Memorial Park Mausoleum, Huron, OH.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
