Jeri-Linn Gibson, 62, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Thursday evening, January 5, 2023, at her home after a lengthy illness.
Born on August 14, 1960, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of E. Lyle and Marilyn Jane "Dollie" (Martin) Gibson, Jr.. She was a 1979 graduate of Sandusky High School. For several years Jeri-Linn had worked in the houseware department at the Sears Department Store, in Sandusky. Over the years, she enjoyed going out and rummaging through the local garage sales in the area, reading and visiting the Sandusky Public Library. Also, she will be remembered by her family for how she adored her grandchildren and how they were her life.
Jeri-Linn is survived by her son, Joshua Lyle (Veronica) Gibson of Sandusky; four grandchildren, Mackenzie Lynn Gibson, Toby Lyle Gibson, Lucas Robert Gibson and Ava Jane Gibson; her mother, Marilyn "Dollie" (Martin) Gray; her siblings, Juliette (Charles) Strickfaden of Bellevue, Colleen (Tim) Rife of Bellevue, Timothy Martin Gibson of Orlando, FL, Todd Martin (Diane) Gibson of Sandusky, and Bridgette (Robert) Vondrick of Sandusky; and also by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, Jude, Chad, Seth and Alec Strickfaden, Kristopher Gibson,
Tabatha Shumway, Jacob Gibson, Angela Yeardon, Todd Gibson, Jr., Kyle Gibson, Pamela Bovee Bell, Michael Bovee, Brittany Vondrick and Robert "RJ" Vondrick.
She was preceded in death by her father, E. Lyle Gibson, Jr.; her dad, Robert J. "Bob" Gray; a nephew, Sean P. Strickfaden; her maternal grandparents, Fred and Florence Martin; and her paternal grandparents, Mary and E. Lyle Gibson, Sr..
Visitation will be held on Monday morning, January 16, 2023, from 8:30 am until 9:45 am at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow for Jeri-Linn at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Jacob George officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to one's favorite charity.
