Jeff Cody, 66, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Sunday evening, January 16, 2022, at The Bellevue Hospital, in Bellevue, OH, after a lengthy illness.
Born on July 1, 1955, in Sandusky, OH the son of James Clay "Jay" and Billie Jean (Bennett) Cody. He was a 1974 graduate of Margaretta High School. For many years, Jeff had owned and operated Cody Builders and later Cody Construction. His passion over the years was his two Harley-Davidson motorcycles and the collecting of Harley memorabilia.
Jeff is survived by his longtime companion of nearly 50 years, Susanna M. "Sue" Ours; and their two children, Brandy Whelan and Joshua Cody; his grandchildren, Elle, Rylee and Clare Whelan, Madison and Everlee Cody; his four sisters, Catherine "Cathy" Wilson, Debra (Jim) Ernst, Jennifer Cody and Robin (Ken Morelli) Cody; a brother, Ed Cody; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, J. C. Monroe "Butch" Cody; three nieces, Sara Ernst, Kristen Cody and Angel Hoelzer; and his brother-in-law, Billy Mason.
Visitation will be held on Saturday morning, January 22, 2022, from 10 am until time of the funeral service at 1 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery, Sandusky.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to one's favorite charity.
