In 1970, Jeanne and her husband, Clyde, started the Erie Bay Company, later known as Erie Bay Graphics and Bay Gallery. They owned and operated this business for many years. She was heavily involved in the community of Sandusky; through Firelands Audubon Society, The Erie MetroParks, The State Theater and Sandusky Main Street Association, just to name a few. Her passion for development of the downtown Sandusky area shows in its livelihood today. She was also a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 30 years, Clyde in 1989; a sister, Judy Davidson; and her brother, John Bergman.
It was her wish to be cremated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday morning, October 25, 2024 at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue Sandusky. Fr. Chris Turner will be officiating. Interment will be held later in Riverview Cemetery, in Port Clinton, OH.
