James L. "Scoot” Suitor, 62, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Thursday evening, March 25, 2021, surrounded by his family in the Stein Hospice Center Center, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
Born on January 6, 1959, in Sandusky, OH the son of David Sharp and Adelaide Kathlyn (Bastian) Suitor. For many years, Jim had worked as a cook at the Damon's Restaurant down at the Battery Park Marina. He loved cooking and spending time fishing. Jim was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Jim is survived by a daughter, Quinn Goodsite; a son, Sam Morehart; four sisters, Mary Kay Brooks Thompson, Alice (Joe) Samaritoni, Donna Grimm and Paula (Joe) Lacey; a brother, David (Diane) Suitor; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family visitation to be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday morning, March 31, 2021, at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH. Fr. Zack Brown officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
The family suggests that memorial contributions to be made in his memory to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
