Jacqulyn R. "Jackie" (Metzo) Handley, 87, of Sandusky, passed away early Saturday morning, April 24, 2021, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
Born on January 21, 1934, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Jack and Ruth Caroline (Wieber) Metzo. She was a 1951 graduate of St. Mary's High School. For many years, she worked for the Erie County Commissioners as a Administrator Assistant, retiring in 1999. Throughout the years, Jackie had enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by a sister, Judith Warrer of Paris, TN; and her two brothers, John (Carolynn) Metzo of Vermilion and James Metzo of Sandusky; and her nieces and nephews..
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Jerri Bickley.
The family will receive friends on Thursday morning, April 29, 2021, from 10 am until time of the Funeral Divine Liturgy at 11 am at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 505 E. Main Street, Marblehead, OH. Fr. Andrew Nagrant officiating. Due to the COVID-19 health concerns, the wearing of face masks and social distancing will be mandatory. If you are uneasy about attending, please feel free to leave a message to the family on our website. Burial will be in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, in Marblehead, OH.
