Howard J. Berlekamp, 71, of Vickery, OH passed away unexpectedly late Monday morning, October 25, 2021, at his home.
   Born on March 18, 1950, in Vickery, OH the son of Harold and Rosemary (Christiansen) Berlekamp.  He was a 1971 graduate of Margaretta High School.  For many years he farmed, and later went on to work for over 30 years at the Thakar Aluminum Corporation, in Sandusky. 
   Over the years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, attending car shows and camping with his wife, Linda, the family and the grandchildren.  
   Howard is survived by his son, Benjamin H. (Julie) Berlekamp of Vickery; his daughter, Christa R. (Ryan Griggs) Berlekamp of Sandusky; his three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Linda and Michael; and his cousins and other relatives.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 41 years, Linda M. (Mazza) Berlekamp on November 6, 2013.
   Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, November 3, 2021, from 10 am until time of the funeral service at 12 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Deacon Jeff Claar officiating.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Sandusky.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association Northwest Ohio Chapter, 480 W. Dussel Drive, Suite 150, Maumee, OH 43537.
