Harold E. "JR" Rose, Jr., 78, of Huron, OH passed away peacefully early Christmas morning, December 25, 2020, with his wife at his side, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
Born on March 22, 1942, in Columbus, OH the son of Harold Eugene and Agnes Almeta (McNabb) Rose, Sr. For nearly 50 years he had driven truck. Over the years, he drove for Charles Chips, Morgan Linen, Sandusky Metal, National Freight and later for Cimarron Express, before retiring. He loved bowling, from a young age when he was a pin setter and player at a Columbus bowling alley to the leagues he bowled in the local area.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Diana L. (Slama) Rose; his two sons and a daughter; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; a sister, Cecelia (Dennis) Brown of Thurston, OH; nieces and nephews.
JR was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Richard "Dick", Herbert "Herb" and Augustus "Gus" Love.
It was his wish to be cremated. No funeral services will be held.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
