Harold J. Lichtle, 102, of Sandusky, OH passed away peacefully early Tuesday afternoon, March 4, 2025, at his residence.
Born on August 21, 1922, in New Riegel, OH the son of Isadore Killian and Eulalia Mary (Imber) Lichtle. Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served honorably during W.W. II. He had co-owned and operated with his brother George, Lichtle Builders, for many years, before retiring.
Harold was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the American Legion Post # 83, the V.F.W. Post # 2529, the A.M.V.E.T.S. Post # 17 and the Sandusky Eagles Club Aerie # 444..
He is survived by his children, Harold B. (Martha) Lichtle, Kenneth C. Lichtle, Linda M. Booher, all of Sandusky, and Jean A. (Ronald) Wittmer of Ft. Myers, FL; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lillie Mae (Cooper) Lichtle (2019); a daughter-in-law, Teresa Lichtle; and 12 sisters and brothers.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, March 12, 2025, from 8:30 am until time of prayers at 9:40 am at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Monte Hoyles officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
