Hanne Kastberg (Hansen) Brosky passed away peacefully at Parkvue Health Care Center, Sandusky on February 23, 2025.
Born in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 15, 1941, Hanne was the daughter of Karl Erik and Inger Grethe (Jorgensen) Hansen. Together with her parents and brothers (Ole and Carl), she emigrated from Denmark to Canada in 1956.
In 1972, Hanne’s work managing fitness franchises led her to Sandusky where she met and married Dr. Thomas Brosky. Soon after their marriage in September, 1974, Hanne became the office manager of Tom’s podiatry practice. The two made a positive impact on the lives of many of Tom’s patients. Hanne’s endless Thanksgiving and Christmas card lists always included numerous patients along with family and friends.
Hanne and Tom celebrated every event in life with special dinners, parties and presents. They enjoyed traveling especially to Florida, Cancun and Denmark. They were incredibly generous, always willing to help anyone in need. They were members of St. Paul Lutheran Church. For 32 years, Hanne and Tom shared a deep and devoted love. When Tom died in May, 2007, Hanne’s world was forever changed and she missed him profoundly. Even so, she maintained an optimistic outlook and will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity, as well as her wit and sense of humor.
In addition to her parents and husband, both brothers preceded her in death.
Hanne is survived by daughter, Susanne (Dan) Guendelsberger of Bloomfield Hills, MI; faithful friend Greg Stelma of Sandusky; dear friend Dora Childress of Sandusky; nephew Timothy (Maureen) Hansen, their sons Neal and Matthew of Toronto, Ont.; niece Michelle Hansen of Keswick, Ont.; niece Sheila Hansen in Germany and several cousins in Denmark.
Sincere gratitude is given to Parkvue Health Care Center especially to the nurses, aides and staff on Follett Court for their loving care and compassion shown to Hanne and the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
